Your last supper.

Postby Loria Aesir » Tue Jul 07, 2009 6:31 am

First off this is purely hypothetical!! No belief system is intended to be offended or devalued

Suppose you have died, your soul remains alive and your are granted one final supper. Which four people would you invite and why? For the purpose of entertainment lets say family members cannot be included and it can only be famous people who have died.

My picks would be...

Johnny Cash - One of the most influential people in music. Imagine the stories he could tell.
Marilyn Monroe - A bit of a cliche but who wouldn't want to witness her beauty first hand?
Winston Churchill - One of histories greatest figures, what a man and what conversations he could spark.
J.R.R Tolken - As an amateur writer i would love to brainstorm with him.

Your turn NS...

Micheal Jackson - So I can look at him from up close.
Winston Churchil - So I can have a good old chit chat about the old days
Jesus - So I can touch him
Creator of pot noodles - So he can make me pot noodles for my final supper

Mine would be:

Antonio Gramsci (poor chap died in the fascist prisons, and I don't think he got proper meals)
Ludwig van Beethoven (maybe after a couple of bottles he will even agree to play piano)
then Audrey Hepburn, Ingrid Bergman, and Marlene Dietrich. Out of pure awesomeness.

I believe I would choose Winston Churchill, Leonardo Da Vinci (fitting, huh?), Mohandas Ghandi, and Emanuele Piri-Gallmann.

*in before Einstein*

Am I to assume they're post-dead as well?

Lee Harvey Oswald
Jack the Ripper

I have a couple questions for them,

Amm...

I'll go Mark Twain or Oscar Wilde for some wit, whoever's free,

Finally...oh, the girl from The Cake who died young, Jeanette Jacobs, she's lovely,

Jesus Christ - So that I could thank him for his sacrifice and so that I could finally meet him face to face.
Thomas Jefferson - It would be so cool to meet Thomas Jefferson. (I'd probably not talk too much though, as to try to prevent myself from sounding like an idiot)
General Robert E. Lee - He has a very fascinating and respected history. I would absolutely love to meet him in person.
John Wayne (Marion Robert Morrison) - He's Absolutely Awesome! 8)

Tolkien - for the pure purpose that his writings inspired my RPing
Einstein - I would like to get just an hour to pick at his brain, it would be fascinating
Gaius Julius Ceaser - to learn first hand of his accomplishments and motives for such
Alexander of Macedon - I want to know how he really died. I don't buy this fever excuse.

Calvin Coolidge. I want to see if I can get him to say three words in a row.

Theodore Roosevelt. I'd like to discuss the merits of non-interventionism vs. Imperialism with him.

King Richard the Lionheart. Cry about how England's history would have turned out much better if he HAD JUST WORN CLEAN CLOTHES!

Jesus. Ask him how much of the gospels and the bible as a whole was true.

Socrates
Thomas Aquinas
Karl Marx
Adam Smith

The clash of four so titanic philosophers, with such widely diverging opinions, would no doubt be both interesting and entertaining.
