This is a thread for those of us NSers who live in and around the Philly area, and would potentially be willing to meet up sometime. This is also a thread to see if anyone I know personally plays NS and/or posts here, which would be interesting.

Anyway, er... The sinkhole at 43rd and Pine is pretty exciting.

It's a beautiful place, aside from several ghettos... But every big city has them. Far West Philly, a fair bit of North Philly (mostly Kensington), and Grey's Ferry are the only really *bad* areas that come to mind, and I've been all over.

Center City, West Philly, South Philly, and Fairmount are great areas.

Really? Not a single neighborhood that has a high proportion of low income residents? Not a single area that has a relatively higher rate of crime? I find that quite hard to believe.

And apparently, NYC has a lower per capita crime rate, so yeah.

Good cheap weed, Checkers, Wawa, real people, great parks, history, ghetto deli's..

I might be a little blind (or well connected) but I've found most of the ghetto areas to have really nice, smart people there. You can go there when you're fucked up to get food and instead of them bitching at you, they give you free food.

There's also really cool streets (might be a little unsafe but meh) that are hidden where all the row homes are painted bright colors. You don't need rain in Philly to see a rainbow.

I live in north Philly, Chestnut Hill, so I can go explore the parks hidden behind multi-million dollar houses, or go down Stenton Ave and chill with some really down to earth people in the ghetto.

Variety is fun.
