Russo-American Alliance v. China, who wins?

If for some odd reason the US and Russia ally and decide to invade China, who would win? I imagine it would be mostly Russian ground forces covered by mostly American air, artillery, and naval power. I am under the impression that the Russian American forces would completely annhilate the People's Army, but a friend of mine believes otherwise. So NS, after a long and fruitless debate, we turn to you for an answer.

If it were war, with no ideas of occupation other than getting to Beijing and then leaving? I'd say that the Russo-American alliance would win. While China has much more manpower, it's air force and navy are lacking.

Actually, this possibility was somewhat explored in the game Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising. But in my opinion, the Americans and Russians would win, because it combines two superpowers against one.
