Pro-tip: they were in favour of freedom of religion. They were against forcing a specific religion on all.

During that time, the freedom of religion was ordain because of the different denominations of Christianity

Well can't say I agree with my party a lot, actually about 50% of the time. But I certainly won't be a Republican till they dump the religious nuts. And the so-called libertarians of the Paul family seem more like republicans than anything else.

What I noticed about those so-called "religious nuts" in the Paul family is that they tend to be more libertarian that the so-call "tolerant liberals" in the democrat party. Do I need to dig out Mr. Paul's political compass score?

They just said that to get the infidel Muslims to sign. It's okay to lie to non-believers, Jesus said so in the Book of Leviticus, I think, right after the passage about gays, "And ye shall not suffer a queer to live, as the very thought of them maketh my gorge to rise."

Those are state constitutions, unfortunately. This does nothing to prove your point that America, being the federal government, is founded upon Christianity, or that the founding fathers intended as such.

Well, the Federal Government did not form America, the individual states that decided upon their own discretion to form America did, the Federal Government has much more power than the Founding Fathers ever wanted them to have, they would be appalled mostly not of our morals and society, but the Federal Government, the only thing wrong with government, is itself

Probably true.

they would be appalled mostly not of our morals and society

Probably true as well. Especially the large amount of power Christianity has. They were deists after all ;)

The states are still subservient to the Constitution on the basest level, however, and that Constitution mandates the secularity of the states.

Furthermore, in citing the preambles of those states' constitution as proof of those states being Christian in nature, you're ignoring a very important part of said constitutions that inherently contradict that supposition. To take the Alabama State Constitution of 1901 as an example;

Wikisource wrote:That the great, general, and essential principles of liberty and free government may be recognized and established, we declare:

1. That all men are equally free and independent; that they are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

2. That all political power is inherent in the people, and all free governments are founded on their authority, and instituted for their benefit; and that, therefore, they have at all times an inalienable and indefeasible right to change their form of government in such manner as they may deem expedient.

3. That no religion shall be established by law; that no preference shall be given by law to any religious sect, society, denomination, or mode of worship; that no one shall be compelled by law to attend any place of worship; nor to pay any tithes, taxes, or other rate for building or repairing any place of worship, or for maintaining any minister or ministry; that no religious test shall be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under this state; and that the civil rights, privileges, and capacities of any citizen shall not be in any manner affected by his religious principles.

4. That no law shall ever be passed to curtail or restrain the liberty of speech or of the press; and any person may speak, write, and publish his sentiments on all subjects, being responsible for the abuse of that liberty.

Emphasis mine. Alabama was founded as a secular state. And before you cite the bit about a 'Creator' at the beginning, this was before Darwin's theories of evolution fully sublimated into public society and was the most common way to address the idea of inalienable rights.

Wyoming 1890, Preamble We, the people of the State Of Wyoming grateful to God for our civil, political, and religious liberties, establish this Constitution...

Which proves that people in the US pay lip-service to "God."

Virginia's Constitution no longer has a preamble, not any mention of "God" except in the optional "so help me God" in the oath of office.

Wyoming's doesn't have one, either. Or Vermont's (it was dropped in the 1793 version of the state Constitution).

Colorado and Washington: "Supreme Ruler of the Universe"? Zeus? Odin? The Flying Spaghetti Monster?

You didn't quote the Preamble to the Tennessee Constitution but instead the article guaranteeing religious freedom. Perhaps this is because "God" doesn't appear in the Preamble. It is interesting that Tennessee excludes members of the clergy and atheists from public office (Article IX, Sections 1 & 2).

That's all I have time for, but thanks for cherry-picking only the versions of state constitutions that suit your purposes.

The Constitution does not demand Secularity, it commends Freedom of Religion as right to all, meaning if a state wanted to ordain one religion, it could, and people would still be able to practice their religion freely

I would love to see that happen, it might clear things up on this point. A state-sanctioned religion, eh? I can just imagine the howls of protest that would cause.

That Abraham Lincoln sucked. Seriously, and I'm not even one of those hicks who wave around the rebel flag yelling "Heritage not Hate!". The guy was not some black loving, slavery hating, abolitionist progressive that people make him out to be. Lincoln hated blacks, and only abolished slavery because it would help his political image.

That the civil war shouldn't have happened. The only reason the war happened was because neither person on both sides knew what the word "compromise" meant. Its thanks to the civil war that the KKK came into existence, its thanks to the civil war that we have a bunch of stupid neo confederate hicks, its thanks to the civil war that we have high racial tensions, its thanks to the civil war that a racist is now a symbol of anti-racism, and its thanks to the civil war that 625,000 people died for it.

And this coming from a progressive liberal atheist.

No, it doesn't. Using Alabama's as an example;

Wikisource wrote:
3. That no religion shall be established by law;

Wikisource wrote:that no religious test shall be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under this state; and that the civil rights, privileges, and capacities of any citizen shall not be in any manner affected by his religious principles.

This means the government of Alabama is prohibited from making a religion the official state religion, and that no religious qualifications may be used to judge its citizenry. QED, the state may not have a religious orientation, therefore it is secular.

That's like saying he's not a democrat for being against slavery.
When anybody preaches disunity, tries to pit one of us against each other through class warfare, race hatred, or religious intolerance, you know that person seeks to rob us of our freedom and destroy our very lives.

During the Civil War, the Democrats were for slavery and the Republican Party was created out of opposition to Slavery

Yes, but Republicans can do it without becoming bankrupt and without raising taxes to where they are ridiculously high
