Uhh...yes, "imagine." Heh heh. Because no one really does that. Of course not, no.

I find it amusing to see people with 200, 300, plus "friends" knowing that they likely do not speak/communicate with 99.99% of those people. I think it's largely an ego boost to look at that huge friends number and think, "Wow I got a lot of friends." In reality, they don't; they just have a lot of acquaintances whom they will never see or talk to.

I do have a Facebook account, and though there's a lot of suckage in FB, it HAS helped me get in touch with a few old HS friends, and gives me another avenue to communicate with some of my online friends.

I happen to have a Facebook account. I used to use far more often before I came to NS. I find it quite useful for finding old friends and staying in touch. But indeed, they are time wasters. Speaking of time, I found this article in Time Magazine rather interesting: http://www.time.com/time/business/article/0,8599,1902604,00.html.

The 20 I don't see on a weekly basis are out of state or out of country, I do keep up with them better on facebook than before when it was just emails, letters and phone calls though.

If you see or talk to 180 people on a constant regular basis each week, then you must have one hell of a busy life. (Which isn't a bad thing if that's your thing.)

A total waste of time if you ask me (which you're doing, right?). Also, I prefer the telephone to keep in touch. Much more personal, and
you can have a real, longish conversation instead of just placing some bits and waiting for hours for an answer.
As for MySpace and Twitter, never considered them.
