See, this is the first time I have been in US soil for the 4th of July.

See, this is the first time I have been in US soil for the 4th. of July. This place is a ruckus! I know parties are good and what not but... it's still morning! Can't they wait to start the hoopla later on this afternoon? And, this celebration isn't even Puerto Rican. For chrissakes!

The Finnish-Americans probably spend their day like this: do pretty much nothing for most of the day, except maybe drink a bit and at night go to a bar, and get really drunk. That's the only way we celebrate anything.

Ay, relax. It's only a small joke. I have nothing against the British and I think you know that. It's called a friendly jest. We have quite a few British and Irish expats here and the great thing about Puerto Rico (excluding the fundies) is that we don't care who you are or where you're from. We are friends with pretty much everybody. We will joke around with these people but that's the thing. Joke.

In PR or on NationStates? On this island I doubt anyone really makes the connection between the British and our independance. Here, I've seen many jokes about the Brits. But those don't seem sincere to me either. Well maybe Parthenon's odd post was, but we all know not to pay him any mind.
