Soccer is a sport for Latin America and the Spaniards. Keep it WHERE IT BELONGS.

I would say soccer is VERY American, and I STRONGLY prefer it over baseball. Soccer is just a sport the US isn't invested in (as much as football or basketball). If we had a kick-ass team, it would embraced, but when you think about it, very few US sports are played outside a few countries. The only reason we embrace baseball and football is because it takes little to no talent to be a player. In soccer, it takes talent. Now, in football, you do need to have some talent in certain field positions, but again, I think baseball is a sucky sport. I think we should embrace basketball and soccer, because at least with basketball, its possible to get the rest of the world to play it, and it isn't a sport for wealthy people.

Football is also bad, because you can't just go outside and legitly play it. It takes hundreds of dollars in equipment also.

I disagree that it takes little talent to play football & baseball. That's bollocks.

I'm more of the belief that 45 + minutes continuous play kills corporate sponsorship, therefore the $$$ were not there.

They are only a draw because they are new. And specifically filmed to start airing at the Super Bowl. And specifically filmed for the Super Bowl. That's because so many people watch. They've added some viewers. But the majority of them still watch it for the game itself.

I don't thinks it un-American millions of Americans watch it. I couldn't care less about it then again my favorite sport to watch is good old base ball. I don't see it as particularly sophisticated or complicated. It's just boring to me I would watch a game of golf before I would watch a game of soccer.

I reiterate: if I had my way, anyone who claims soccer is boring but somehow is a fan of baseball or cricket would be committed to a mental institute.

The first popular Super Bowl advertisement was in 1973. So the commercial aspect behind the advertisements has been in place for nearly 40 years. That's all I'm saying. The highly produced advertisements have been going on for as long as I remember.

I actually don't mind. After all, that's how the NFL attracts talent. The reason US soccer sucks is because our athletes play other sports in the US. The reason they play the "major" sports is money.
