Unitl then Americans wont be interested because they are bad at it and wont put their effort in it to get better.
so what we really need is a plauge to wipe out the other teams or a few own goals each game by Americas opposition. I wont hold my breath (if the opposition tries this America might win also)
They're better than the Brits. Ask Zinedine.

Probably, since 'The Brits' don't have a team.
Edit: Unless you mean the British Virgin Islands? In which case I'm inclined to agree.

At least the US can say they are better than North Korea. 7-0 loss
I dont even know how North Korea got in. Was it the line "we will attack someone if we dont"

Ok. I stated another's opinion, (someone who probably knows a bit more about football than you and I) and provided a source. I happen to agree with him. England, as almost always, is overrated. They won in 1966 (at home). They got 4th in 1990. At the Euro Championships, they haven't done better. Third in 1968 after their WC win. Semis in 1996 (again at home). They don't hold a candle to the real football powerhouses like Brazil, Germany, Italy, Argentina, even the notoriously overrated Spain is better historically. Of course, historically speaking they are better than the US. Right now however, I seriously doubt it. Could they have come back to win or tie against Slovenia after being down 2-0? I doubt it. The individual players are better, but they do not play well together.

This is how. And losing to a team as good as Portugal by 7-0 isn't that shameful. It's not even unprecedented.

Wait, how the hell did North Korea get automatic qualification?Jaunty tunes wrote:Alright so North Korea was Automatically entered for unknown reasons. Appeasing the regime might have been one of them. And since your link could only list three greater losses in world cup history it remains as a complete white wash. They just miss out of the bronze medal for historic wold cup losses.
I doubt the other big losing matches had automatic qualification for the lossing team.
Automatic qualitication should not occur to a team which just recorded the fourth biggest loss in world cup history and has serious governmental issues.

Out of all the AFC qualifiers, North Korea had to play the most matches to get through. South Korea, Japan and Australia were sent to the third round because they were highly ranked, whilst North Korea had to struggle through the first round.
You don't have the slightest clue what you're on about.

What do you think?

I request a definition.
