The Good, The Bad, The Annoying

Postby Imsogone » Wed Jun 16, 2010 11:52 am

TV and movie characthers.

Who do you like? Who annoys you?

For me -

NCIS

I like McGee, Ziva, Palmer, Ducky and GIbbs
Abby and Dinozzo annoy me no end and I would not be sorry at all to see them go.

Criminal Minds

The whole cast is irritating - from Hotch's badly dyed hair to Reid's mock Aspergers - they should just cancel the show.

The Big Bang Theory

I love the show and the whole cast

Two and a Half Men

Charlie Sheen is irritating on and off screen, but at least he's funny. The guy playing his brother is a waste. The kid is hilarious.

All of the CSIs - it's old, cancel them - CSI:Miami especially

Bones

Is there anyone more annoying than Temperance Brennan? The subsidiary characters are much more interesting and fun.

Ghost Whisperer

The show is a waste of time, fortunately, except for Manheim, there is no talent being wasted here.

Eureka

I love the whole show and all the characters

Those of you who watch TV - what's your take?

House: I miss Kutner :( He was an awesome and lovable character. They should've given him a better exit than suicide. Now the character can never come back. Other than that, it's a great show

Pawn Stars: I like everyone except for Chumlee, however I do have to wonder if he's really that stupid or if it's the way they edit the show.

Deadliest Warrior: I wish they'd do the battle simulation more accurately, but other than that, I enjoy watching it.

Mythbusters: Stand up show!

L&O:Another great show, I love court room drama.

L&O: SVU Another show that I love, but I wonnder if it's becoming too focus on Detective Benson. Detective Munch is my favorite character.

Ice Road Truckers: It's a good show, I just wish they'd stop trying to make it more dramatic then it has to be. I mean these guys are driving on one of the hardest haul road to drive on, how much more drama do you need?

That's pretty much it for me.

Those of you who watch TV - what's your take?

NCIS: No, no, I like Abby and Tony. I prefer Kate over Ziva, to be honest, but the gap has closed considerably over time.
Criminal Minds: It's okay, if it were cancelled I wouldn't be that upset.
Big Bang Theory: Another show I should be watching.
Two-and-a-Half Men: Meh.
CSIs: Also meh. Never the same on the original when William Peterson left.
Bones: She's supposed to be annoying. Working as designed.
Ghost Whisperer: Cancelled.
Eureka: I like this, too, I need to watch it more!

I would have thrown in Medium, too: Loved the middle child, Brigit, and the husband was okay.

Law & Order: Criminal Intent: It was way past time for D'Onofrio to go. I like Jeff Goldblum and I liked his partner from last year way better than this one.

Law & Order: SVU: Pretty much white noise now.

I'd have to agree with L&O:CI: D'Onofrio wasn't right for the show and I never liked his character. Jeff Goldblum is a much better fit for the role.

I think early on D'Onofrio was okay. The thin, young version, not the older, fat one. He's not a bad actor. Did you ever see the episode of "Homicide: Life on the Street" where he played a man caught between a subway car and the platform? That was a hell of a performance. And that show was great, by the way.

Hubby watches CSI, Bones, NCIS, and Criminal Minds.

I can't stand any of the characters on CSI although some of the shows are borderline interesting.

I can't stand Bones, she's not well written and not believable. She contradicts her own character too often.

I am warming up to NCIS. Gibbs kinda reminds me of my father in law. Ducky is well written. Dinozzo and Abby are written horribly. People actually try to compare me to Abby..... I don't get the connection. Ziva is horribly written, she makes English mistakes that don't even make sense. Kate was okay.

I can't stand the characters on Criminal Minds at all. The stories are interesting though.

The Good:

NCIS: Abby is the main reason I watch the show though I love all the characters.

The Mentalist: Love Simon Baker!

Chuck: Chuck is the best show on television. It's got action, comedy, romance and Jeffster!

The Bad:

Reality TV shows!

The Annoying:

The writers of Heroes. They took a great series and threw it into toilet.

Rumor is that they are going to make a Heroes miniseries to tie up loose threads. I hope it will be good, if only to end the series on a high note.

NCIS: Abby and McGee are the best characters. The other characters are likable, except Gibbs, who is neither likable nor dislikable.
Bones: Temperance rules. Booth should be annoying, but is likable. The others are okay, except I'm not sure how I feel about Cam. She needs more screen time, methinks.
Law and Order: SVU and Law and Order: CI: They should dump Benson and Stabler and put Goren and Eames in their place. Then SVU would be an almost perfect show.
I'm not especially fond of any of the CSIs. I've never seen Criminal Minds. It sounds like it should be interesting, but isn't.
The Closer is an awesome show. Psych is pretty good too.

That would be good, if they did it right. And the show did slide, but in a way, I'm not surprised. The high from the first season was too good to last.

If you ignore the characters Criminal Minds is a good show. It has interesting cases. The characters are paper thin and not anyone you can attach to though.

I have never seen such a waste of talent as shown in Criminal Minds - by that I mean Joe Mantegna. The rest are talentless hacks playing parts written by talentless hacks. But, you're right about the cases - and the premise, if treated properly and given believable characters, is excellent.

NCIS: I really love them all. If any one of them left, I would be sad. But the TIVA is too thick. They suck as a couple. Just because two actors have chemistry, doesn't mean their characters work as a romantic couple. Eeew.

Bones: I like everyone, Bones included. Daisy annoys me, but in a likeable way.

Burn Notice: Not sure if I'm sold on Jesse, but I love Fiona, Micheal, Sam, and Ma Weston. Nate is so-so.

Doctor Who (NuWho): Loved Ten an insane amount, along with Martha and Jack and Donna. Nine was great, as was series one Rose. I didn't like her so much in season 2, and she came back waaaaaay too often. By the end, I was just annoyed. Eleven looks okay, Amy I flip-flop around on, and Rory I love.
