None of the features would work, we'd be nickeled and dimed to death in taxes and fees for everything we did, and it would ruin what was otherwise a good idea.

So, in other words, no change really.

The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

Jolt would proclaim 'Government II', a new type of administration supposedly offering new opportunities for democratic re-engagement and novel methods of revenue raising.

They would then trademark the flag and demand that all of those who display it pay a substantial monthly fee. They'd rebrand the states as different 'worlds', and refuse to allow any interaction between them. They would also create a disastorous automated system for trade which would mean that the entire population would starve unless a large group of officials sat around and spent twelve hours a day clicking to change trade relations every five minutes with every other nation on the planet. Finally, Government II, collapsing under the weight of its own incompetence and public demands for change, would abolish itself and redirect all control to a government they judged to be broadly compatible in approach to the political culture of the US, and which they feel would interest former citizens of Government II, that of North Korea.

Children would stand up every day in school and pledge allegiance to whomever Jolt had sold the advertising space to that day.

Expressing discontent with the current government would be grounds for permenant exile on extrajudicial executive order.

For about two hours out of every day, the Capitol Building would be inaccessible due to database errors.

There would be interstitial advertisements inside passed laws.

Anyone who left the country for more than one year would have their passport data erased and would be unable to return under that identity.

The federal government would interfere in state laws until the state government stopped working altogether, and then redirect all visitors to a different state that was more popular.

Lawmakers would have to file requests and wait years for a response before being able to do anything.

And if you wanted to leave the country the government wouldn't allow you to take any of your stuff with you.

The US would be acquired by a foreign country, which keeps trying to "improve" things, yet all they'd manage to do is piss off the citizens.
