Damn you. I'm on a 2:2 so far. I solely blame this on the fact that my own tutor decided to start marking a lot harsher and then disregarding a lot of theories I came up with. Good thing I don't have her in my final year but I need to put in a shedload of work now.

I (quite unbelievably) got a first in my undergrad degree (in every year, including the first, which didn't even count). Which just goes to show that anyone with mildly obsessive tendencies who devotes these to the dark art of revision can get a top degree from a good university no matter how lacking in original thought or intellect in general they may be.

Nah... we usually just use percentages which are then converting into a degree class at the end. Of course pointing out the percentages won't help cos the grading scale is very different. Wiki it if you really want an explanation - don't expect us to do all the work just because you Americans use some weird GPA system

We do a modular system in first year so we don't get an overall grade and to make things weird we get a mark out of 20. I got 15.3, 14.5, 17.0, 17.5 18.1 and 19.3. I think that works out as 4 1st and 2 2:1s but seeing as its first year, its all fairly meaningless.

My marks averaged out as B's, but i was getting A's at the beginning then nearer the end of the year i stopped caring, and got D's or fails.

Got a high 2:1, so taken with the high 2:1 I got in first year, it puts my average going into my third and final year of a law degree at...a high 2:1. Going pretty well; might even consider actually going to a class next year, see if I can get a first.
