Out of curiosity, do you have any recommended readings that would provide me with a better understanding Marx? As i mentioned I don't really study him much because that manifesto seems to have sucked up all the air in terms of both fame and impact, but I strive to always educate myself and would like to know more about Marx himself. I do know the manifesto was written on behalf of a broader socialist group and was not entirely Marx's idea, but I sorta assumed any differences would be negligible. If I am wrong I would love to be corrected.

for marx and engels specifically? wage-labor and capital, value price and profit, kapital, critique of the gotha programme, the german ideology (and theses on feuerbach), socialism: utopian and scientific, on authority, and the preface to a contribution to the critique of political economy are good ones. out of all of these kapital is the most important, but it's a dense book that's hard to understand if all you've read is the communist manifesto (and even then it could be hard to understand if you've read more than just the manifesto: it took me two or three tries).

I have mixed feelings about this. Yes, it is wrong to make bad generalizations and vilify entire ethnic groups, but if people of color should be held responsible just as much as white people for their own bad choices in life, then why shouldn't that apply to voting as well.

Typically blaming ethnic groups for not voting the way you want would be considered racist.

You've met single issue abortion voters and single issue gun voters. It's like that. Not every woman is out there being a single issue pro-life voter, but a substantial portion are. Not every rich person is a single issue pro-wealth voter, but a substantial portion are.

It's not a winning strategy. Again, you've made too many enemies. The republicans don't make enemies. They make allies. They see what they like about people and focus on that and empowering them to act on it. The democrats see heresy and hunt for it.
