I really love the fact that he will "try" to love his wife. Jeez that just got to make her feel oh so special.
So why is Mark Sanford giving us details of his many affairs and basically insulting his wife? Is he bragging? Has the pressure of the job cause him to snap, or is he insane?

If the Catholic Church had stayed undivided we'd probably have plenary indulgences by payroll deduction by now, and this could all be cleared up with a simple call to Human Resources.

*rimshot*
I can picture that...
*ring ring*
Random guy: Hi. Indulgences?
Random priest: You have reached Indulgences. How may I help you?
RG: I masturbated again.
RP: Just mail US$15 to the Vatican and we'll get that settled for you.
RG: Gee, thanks!
RP: No prob.
*hangs up*

People do want him to resign, but he isn't. Apparently he wants to teach his kids to never quit.

He is a lame-duck, 18 months left on his last term, so maybe the legislature figures it'll be less bad press if they just let him hang around than go through the whole impeachment ordeal.

The people of South Carolina can't recall him either, so that's out of the question.
Reuters wrote:Sanford's spokesman Joel Sawyer told the South Carolina newspaper The State on Thursday that the governor "is finished discussing this matter" and is "focused on being governor, on rebuilding his marriage and on building back the trust of South Carolinians."

I put $20 on Sarah Palin! Because who would see that coming?

Hmm ... Maybe Todd Palin, he looks like a good ol' boy, but Sarah? I just don't see it. Sure, they have a bunch of kids but I don't see her putting out.
I'll have to think about this one.
