Makes me think of one of my friends...He had a hyperactive immune system so he was in the hospital throughout most of highschool...

When he was gone we'd joke that he died, and when he came back we'd all exclaim "Your alive! Back from the Dead, take off his Head!"

He's better now though and still makes jokes about it, :p

If he was a good friend, he would at least have shut the fuck up about it, even if he considered your dad having cancer funny.
