If a shooting happened on US soil, Russia wouldn’t be going “Hey we know better than you about who is behind the attack. You have the witnesses, the evidence, the facts, this happened on YOUR soil but you’re wrong, we 100 percent know the truth.”

So I guess you agree the UK police are right about Russian involvement in the Salisbury novichok poisonings, and Russia were just blowing smoke out of their arse with their denials?

I don't think a victim nation of a terrorist attack has ever provoked a follow up attack by refusing to give the terrorists credit for the first one.

Russian officials continue to accuse the West and Ukraine of involvement in the Crocus City Hall attack last Friday in which 140 people were killed.

Ukraine denies any involvement and the White House said last Sunday that "ISIS bears sole responsibility for this attack," using an acronym for the Islamic State militant group, which said it was behind the attack. White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson added that there was "no Ukrainian involvement whatsoever."

On Wednesday, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova claimed the U.S.' initial rejection of any Ukrainian involvement was suspicious and said the Islamic State group was created by the West.

After looking at the relevant facts (including the perpetrators’ plans to flee to contacts on the Ukrainian border), I’m going to have to go with Russia’s version of events. The attack took place on Russian soil, which means the Russian police (not the western police) have the evidence, better access to the facts, the jurisdiction, the understanding. It’s strange that the West is commenting on this at all, given that this is a Russian law and order matter and the Russians have better access to the facts.

If a shooting happened on US soil, Russia wouldn’t be going “Hey we know better than you about who is behind the attack. You have the witnesses, the evidence, the facts, this happened on YOUR soil but you’re wrong, we 100 percent know the truth.”

It’s also an incredibly stupid argument to say “The USA warned Russia so they have nothing to do with the attack.” It’s possible (maybe even likely given the CIA’s shady past) to give a token, non-specific warning to diffuse suspicion while being in some way connected.

I’ve been looking through the posts and while some posters are able to analyze the situation critically, others are too quick to buy the narrative provided by the pro Western media.

Oh jog on IM. There was never a chance in any universe you would question Herr Putin, no matter how demonstrably false and implausible. You made up your mind that "Ukraine did it" the second you heard about it, and are purposefully choosing to (poorly) cast any and everything as "evidence." Your "deduction, has nothing to do with the facts and everything to do with you simping for the relevant dictator of the week. Not a single person here had any question you would push this shit narrative, because you don't think, you obey.

There really is something morbidly funny about Russia being so lost in their own delusional idiocy that they're making themselves bigger targets for terrorism in the process. It's not exactly like hardline Islamists are lacking reasons to want to kill Russians in the first place, Putin and co. are just giving them even more reason to focus on Russian cities instead of those in Europe or the US.

I sympathize for the Russian people in general, it seems that the current day-to-day of life over there is to just try and get through life despite their awful governments continuous international and economic blunders.

On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, just over the Moscow city limits. The current death toll is 139, and 182 people were injured. Eleven individuals suspected of being involved in the terrorist attack have been apprehended, including four gunmen who were detained in the Bryansk Region, southwest of Moscow, as they attempted to seek refuge by crossing the nearby Ukrainian border. President Vladimir Putin said in a televised address that, according to preliminary information, the Ukrainian side had prepared "a window" in the border especially for the terrorists to cross undetected. He promised to identify and punish all those who were behind the attack on Crocus City Hall.

I think so far, the Russian police have been handling the investigation of this case with the utmost of professionalism (focusing on the evidence and keeping all possibilities open). It really shows that when the country is attacked, the people will find it in them to stand together.

It's not professional to attach jumper cables to a suspects testicles.

Neither is it for a Nazi to cut off part of a suspects ear, force-feed it to him, and then auction off the knife used in the assault.

Neither is it for one of the suspects to have somehow lost an eye between the time of his capture and the time of his court appearance.

The ISW provided an interesting reasoning for why Lukashenko might have undermined Putin's narrative that the terrorists were fleeing to Ukraine. As it was increasingly coming to light that the group was instead fleeing to Belarus, which would (and does) raise questions on why would they think Belarus is a safe place to flee, Lukashenko might have tried to quickly present his forces as the ones preventing the terrorists from entering, thus indicating that internal security is under control and also protecting himself from possible future Russian pressure on the matter.

The question of how secure Belarus actually is does still remain though. Considering how many migrants were transported to Belarus in order to pressure the EU, it's not that hard to believe that some might be extremists or prone to extremism.

I completely agree with your point and I don't think any of the superpowers are professional in how they handle arrests or the arrested at all. All 3 of the superpowers, Russia, China and UK/US super-team have a history of arrest abuse, torture, false flags and lying about events generally, so it would be just as ridiculous to trust Russia and any version of the events that they claim or consider any of their police/torture work professional! The first casualty in war is always the truth and we've been at war with Russia for how many hundreds of years now?!
