I don't particularly care what the OP pretends to be, but given that he actually supports modern-day ultranationalist parties this leads me to think there is a little bit of truth to the 'hobby'.

I support "ultra nationalist" democratic parties, the party closest to me in Sweden (the Swedendemocrats) are quite not "ultra-nationalists" as the "Nationaldemocrats" or "BNP" are, they are more "Socialconservative" if you look in the international spectrum.

Excellent point. But I think the behavior speaks for itself regardless.

What that I enjoy violent music (like other young people), or it is only ok when white kids listen to gangster rap about cop killing or death metal that is just plain "murder".

Over all, at first I thought this is stupid, but just as some thinks communists are cool I think this is cool (actually a friend of mine who is part black seems to suffer from the same deal as SS Jackson, he plays white power music at full sound just to get looks) in all it's absurdity, but the thing about it is it seems to be taboo and people dressing up like Hitler or avarage german soldier gets the boot and is hated.

What do you think about "hobby nazi", is it ok to listen to wp-music, is it ok to dress up as Hitler on halloween etc.
I predict I will get flamed like a heretic in the dark ages, this might be seen as modern day heresy. :p

I dunno about the music, but I will agree that the Nazis had some spiffy uniforms.

Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

Every year at DragonCon, for example, there is a largeish group of reenactors in the parade, some in US uniform, some in German uniform.

So, there are uses for a replica uniform. It is not something you would wear for a dinner date, but there are appropriate places to wear it.

reenacting is a little different your expected to be in that.

Do you just randomly tromp around the city in it ?

?? what are you talking about now? was that anywhere in my post? did I say that I was a member of one of the reenactment groups? or are you just trying to be snide?

Reenacting is not being a nazi wannbe, unless you reenact and tromp up in down the city in it.

Baycosa, you make a lot of disclaimers about how you just like to prance around in the outfits for a "hobby" and it doesn't mean you really like nazis. But at the same time you keep going on about how you support "ultra-nationalist" groups, about how you enjoy "offending leftists" and similar remarks. You know what? I'm calling BS on your disclaimers and putting you down as a teen nazi-wannabe who is just weaseling around to get other people to say it's okay. Well, it's not okay. You are both a nazi-wannabe and a weasel. A weasel dressed up like a loser -- as a "hobby." Satisfied?

EDIT: And your personal fetish for seeing black men dressed up as nazis is, I think, kind of lost on the general population. I really don't think you are getting the joke in that picture -- at least not the same joke the rest of the world is getting.

Actually it's conservative parties, outside my nation I like nationalconservative democratic partes such as FPÖ, Lega Nord, Dansk Folkeparti etc. I hate Hitler for what he did aginst the world, I hate Stalin for what he did aginst the world and personally aside from rebuilding his nations economy Hitler was a short, paranoid little goblin.

Free elections for all, Switzerland is a good example of good democracy.

I'd rather call you a weasel for lying about your beliefs and posting threads under false pretenses. You made some bullshit claim about such a thing as "hobby nazis" when in fact all you really wanted to do was make a brag thread about how nazified you are and how cool and hip that is.

Understand this: Nobody but other nazis is going to think anything positive of you for this thread. Not only do you align yourself with the most despicable and repulsive assholes history has ever seen, not only do you make a plaything out of the worst war atrocities ever seen, not only do you use one of the darkest episodes in human history as a fashion accessory to glorify yourself, you don't even have the stones to man up to it and own what you've chosen to be. You go on and on about those uniforms and those salutes -- all you do is hide behind them, as if they'll shield you from scorn. And when they don't, then you have the fucking gall to try to hide behind Israel!! WTF?

And from everything you've posted here, I really don't believe you get the satire at all. In fact, I have to say this seriously, I don't think you even get the truth that, for all you dress-up nazis, it's really nothing more than a sexual obsession. Please, just sit in your room and wank off to the poster of the black man with the shiny boots already, and stop insulting our intelligence as well as the history of the millions who died at the hands of your dream dates, m'kay, thanks.

You know, while I'm glad people here are explaining that being a 'hobby nazi' is a bad choice and will likely have you painted as an actual nazi (the difference can be quite blurry), it makes me giggle to myself when I see a poster with a Hammer and Sickle in his avatar talking about not using nazi symbolism because it might effect those who suffered under Nazism. While I agree, the exact same can be said about the anachronistic symbol of the other 20th century evil, Communism.

By the way, there's somewhat of a difference between the fundamental texts of communism (The Manifesto of the Communist Party and Das Kapital), and the fundamental texts of nazi-fascism (take Mussolini's speeches and articles, and Hitler's Mein Kampf).

First read most of them. Then compare.

I think Mussolini's idea of Fascism would create a better state to live in than Marx's communism.

I wouldn't like to live in either though, because I value individual freedom and capitalism.

Thats mostly because all socialist ideology pisses me off, including "nationalsocialism", next, not gay so gay jokes have no affect on me, third, too bad you don't like the uniform and too bad you don't like the nazi "chic".

Kid you take life, way too seriously

No.

It's not a matter of taking life too seriously. Muryavets is right, you're glorifying some of the worst atrocities committed by humans against other humans simply because you think the uniforms the perpetrators wore were cool. I cannot begin to tell you how sad that is. The people who wore those uniforms committed mass murder, they coldly put together a plan to exterminate millions of people simply because those people were Jewish or gay or Catholic or Gypsies or didn't agree with the ruling party. It's not a matter of "socialism" or "national Socialism" or Hitler or Stalin. Frankly, deciding between them is like deciding between cholera or diphtheria.

Maybe the fact that you think so little of the events of the Second World War is something positive, I don't know. That those horrors have not been repeated in your lifetime is a good thing, I suppose.

Sweden, although I have nothing agist the avarage american or the nation as a whole I am way to close-minded and prejudiced to visit America. I am sorry but I view USA as a whole as a backwards society and the "unkown" american just seems obnoxius, once you get to know him/her sure a great friend but at first start most seem outright "bitchy".

Although I learn bit by bit that it is not all lost, if I were to go with a friend of mine I might visit once but any nation that lacks a universal health system, activly chooses to accept creationism or "intelligent design" over science, that is just a put off. Also I dislike the govermental system of USA (I think choosing a new dictator every four years is stupid) also the fact that USA, the beacon of democracy has such small amount of active voters (Seriously is it so fucking hard to march yourself to a local voting booth to sign a piece of paper?).

Now you are making an objective point (seriously).

What if I choose not to speak in glorifying manners of what the nazis did (as there can be no excuse for it). As a person I belive that the actions commited by the nazis are not imbedded in pieces of cloth they wore and the music I just belive is a form of punk.

As for WW2, it is history, I belive that both sides are to be judged objectivly and equally, Hitler killed jews horribly but the American bombarded cities in Japan with firebombs when most of the housing was made in wood!
