dead languages don't have to be written languages....so the language of the Taino Indians by itself, even without the petroglyphs, would probably count (assuming it's dead)

If they depict a language that was actively spoken by the Taino, I'm sure they would count.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeell.... I suppose they do. But you would probably have multiple representations of a single thing. I doubt there was a standard. But hey, nowadays it doesn't seem like there's a standard in the English language!

Maybe they use kennings, so airplane would be "metal-bird," and Internet would be something like "fool-web."
I like Old English. Not exactly pretty, but has a nice beat.

The thing is I don't think they spoke a more or less uniform language, but instead, wrote in one. But then again, we do know Taíno words today, so that must mean they had to speak in some sort of a language....

Well, English was anything but uniform up untill Johnson's dictionary, and even then, took a while to really equalize. The language of the power triangle (the triangle of London, Cambridge, and Oxford) is what today is "English", but the language itself varied greatly around the island (vox v. fox, euf v. egg, etc)

I wasn't paying attention and voted for Old English, but my true favorite is Old Norse.

Adiac? Do you mean the Greek of Athens, Attic?
