About 3 days ago on November 30th, Russia's top court declared that LGBTQ activism was extremist and banned the movement completely. Just yesterday, the effect that the ban had on the populace was seen with police raids on dozens of LGBTQ bars and establishments, what's the coorelation? Not really sure. To be honest I think Russia just wanted an excuse to "legally" persecute gays, and Putin forced the Supreme Court to do his bidding. Only a rumor though, unsubstaintiated.
