Dear Jane,

Regards, David.

it continues from there. Well worth the click-n-read.

Gotta admire his chutzpah, or at very least commiserate for the obviously very boring day he was having.

I'd read that before but it still makes me laugh, yet the story continues...

A hand-drawn digital picture of a seven-legged spider which became the subject of a widespread viral email has reportedly sold for $15,000 on eBay.

So, that should easily pay off the $235,

But...

A man who placed the $15,000 winning bid for a photograph of a hand-drawn seven-legged spider says he has no intention of paying up.

What an asshole,

eBay spokeswoman Sian Kennedy said the photograph’s seller could take Mr Munoz to the police for breaking the "contract he made when he won the item".

Yet the original guy is nice enough...

The man behind the drawing, David Thorne, said he was unfazed.

"The internet is a playground and I would not have it any other way," Mr Thorne told ninemsn.
I hear babies cry, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know
And I think to myself, what a wonderful world

Ebay really should let people who sell their stuff the option to go to the second highest bid if the winner doesn't hold up his end of the contract.

I remember that story. I was in Sydney in Risk Management with an Investment Bank and the entire floor was having a collective giggle, secretly hoping some mining company would try to do the same just for the lulz.

The vanity and presumption of governing beyond the grave is the most ridiculous and insolent of all tyrannies. Reminds me of a story where an electric utility company shut down a woman's electricity 'cause she was overdue ¢.01 on her bill.
