Dude, couldn't you have waited for a few pages first?

Why? It's the immediate response when something like this happens in the U.S.

The last Big Shooting we had was really Dunblane. The US had that mental Mormon bloke and that one at the university pretty recently, and probably a couple of others I've forgotten.

Seemingly out of the blue, though. According to the Beeb website, it wasn't even known that the man had a gun.
The above post may or may not be serious.

The last mass shooting the UK had was 13 years ago. The US appears to have one every couple of months.

Clearly one of those countries is doing something right.

We have more people, and thus more crazies. I would rather hand out guns at the loony bin that surrender my right so self defense.

You have five times the number of people the UK has, and way more than five times the number of mass shootings.

As I said: clearly one of those countries is doing something right.

Source?

Population of the United Kingdom: 62m (2010 est)
Population of the United States: 309m (2009 est)

Number of mass shootings in the UK in the 10 years preceding today: 0
Number of mass shootings in the US in the 10 years preceding today: 13

I don't know why you even bothered asking for a source.

Although I suppose in a sense I'm wrong. 5 times 0 is 0. The US just has more mass shootings.

We have a massive population. There is a big difference between the UK and US, more people are poor, we have more gangs and there are more criminals here.

I said one of them was doing something right. I didn't specify.

Essentially your post is claiming the larger number of shootings in the US is due to a failure of society, which is hardly something to brag about.

Guns have nothing to do with this, in fact, if guns were allowed there, someone may have killed that guy before he was able to kill anybody/too many people.

Guns are allowed here. In fact, this took place in a part of the country where it might be expected that more people than in other areas would have guns.

You want to think about that again?

Since neither tea nor queen-loving is compulsory, but you seem to think that mass-shootings are.

You would rather have random mass shootings (which do happen, regularly, and apparently have to be accepted as a fact of life) than worship the Queen (which doesn't happen, ever, and isn't required)?

Ignoring the tea thing because, you know, people in the US drink tea, too.

And because it's absurd.

"Lobsterback" seems to be a bit redundant and obscure as an insult, though.

I had to Google it.

Wow, I guess they are just so common here I don't even realize that they happen. I believed your statistic, but it just seemed like you through it out there without thinking about it much.

Let it not be said that conservatives never change their minds, I am officially for stricter gun control now. (I'm only kinda conservative anyway).
