My personal inspiration is Fidel Castro. Obviously wouldn't have got to where he did without the AK shooting, and once he got there ... wow, that man could talk!
Fie upon these modern politicians with their door-stops and their sound-bytes, so desperate to get out of the public eye. We know why. If they stood there and said their piece like Fidel did, they'd grow a stubble right there in front of the camera! And the public knows what a stubble means: either an alcohol problem, or their wife kicked them out last night for something which will earn some young lass six figures to tell about. A stubble attracts attention but not sympathy. A beard demands respect, and doesn't give a damn if it doesn't get it.
