To my understanding, there was a group of Germanic Pagans that were just starting up (i'll see if I can get their names down in the book that this is located in) around the time of WW2, and Hitler had them executed or exiled, I believe.

I had heard that he at least somewhat supported it, if not directly advocating it.

No, that's Nazi Occultism that he supported, which is entirely different from Germanic Paganism, primarily because Nazi Occultism was more or less a justification for the reason why the Nazis thought that they were so superior to all of the other races of the world, and Germanic Paganism is simply the celebration and/or worship of Germanic gods whos traditions and customs predate the Nazi Party by thousands of years.

Well, it could reasonably be called an intellectual defense of atheism.

Probably F7 though....

This, I'm aware of. I'm (thankfully) not one of those people who thinks that all Germanic Paganists must be National-Sozialist supporters or some such other ridiculousness.

Well, it was meant as an example as to the problems of implying correlation and causation with atheism and morals.

I know what you were trying to do, but General is being General and I'm not too sure we're gonna get there. But we'll see.

It's a terribly hard image we're trying to fight off. One thing that makes it hard is that the Nazis used Germanic runes (which are very important to Germanic/Norse Pagans/Asatru like myself) in alot of their symbols (Ex: The Sieg rune being used for the SS symbol, as is demonstrated in my flag) so it makes it that much easier for racists to identify with us and that much harder for us to convince other people that we're not racists. :palm:

What to things do all these men have in common? They have mustaches and are widely considered to be evil.

Ok, so that's utter bullshit. Mustaches are not evil. But then again, why do people like to reference Stalin, Mao, and Hitler (even though he was Catholic) as Atheist, in order to "prove" a point that Atheism is immoral. Why? Why do you need your "big brother" watching over you to have morals?

Clearly the opposite is true:

Because some people rag on the church about the various crusades and jihads and all of that and it's a piss easy counterblaste to that.

Chappo was a commie type (and thus killed millions, or would have), Ghandi tried to ruin the economy by not eating very much (really trying there), Einstein nuked the Japs, and Ron Jeremy was in a load of boring porn films as well as a couple of good ones. So he's a bit like the British Empire which was sorta bad.
End the Modigarchy now.

"Never be deceived that the rich will permit you to vote away their wealth." - Lucy Parsons
Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, citizen ownership of equity, or any combination of these. There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them. They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.

Ok. Still not Catholic though.

Not Catholic but he was Christian. It was Himmler and Hess who dabbled in German Paganism due to their associations with the Thule Society.

Not only is this the wrong way to go about things, it's also completely infeasible.

Moreover, as Hitchens says, it's much more fun having religious folks to argue with.
