Family Guy gets stale after awhile.

Aye. It does get stale. I used to be a big Family Guy fan. Then I got tired of all the sex jokes, potty humor, and Brian's political preachiness. Brian's voice is the show's creator's actual voice, which made me dislike him, and the show, even more.

South Park may be stupid, but it's smart stupid. There's intelligence in its stupidity, order in its chaos. It may preach more than Brian, but they managed to make that make the show more appealing. Plus they don't keep rubbing your face in the preachiness.

Plus the creators of South Park seems to have more Libertarian leanings while Family Guy is more liberal.

Both shows have gone on longer than they should, both are getting stale.

However Family Guy is the better of the two. Some of their jokes still raise a titter in me. South Park just makes me facepalm now. Rather than get humor, they just seem to want to see how far they can go without getting cancelled.

I've seen most of the episodes of South park up until 2003, in regards to them vs Family Guy I'd say that South Park is supperior, add in newer episodes and I'd probably say Family Guy, Family Guy has been losing points with me because of lack of plot direction reminiscent of The Simpsons, that and I got dicked around by the networks not playing it on the same channels for 3 years between 2005 and 2008.

The thing is Family Guy relies too much on randomness, which over half the stuff I've seen did not make me laugh. South Park however, has made me laughed so hard that i was on the floor crying from laughing my ass off, so clearly South Park wins (by my standards, that is).

I like both of them. I watch Family Guy for its random humor, zany plots and characters. I watch South Park for its excellent satire of current events and defiance to all the parents and so-con groups who protest it.

They both me laugh. I tend to agree with most of the morals both shows teach us. There's no reason for me not to like them.

Family Guy, although the last few series have been a bit shit. There's only so many times one can make jokes about being nasty to Meg and Stewie's sexuality without getting a teensy bit repetative.

What are you talking about? They rub it in an incredible amount. They even as much as admitted it in the Cartoon Wars two-parter--which, I deeply enjoyed btw. Even though the creators don't like Family Guy, and the episode was filled with Take That's, they managed to address the issue in a fairly even-handed manner. I really appreciated how they were willing to take a few shots at themselves and admit that the very reason they hate Family Guy is the reason that many people prefer it over South Park.

Both are great, but I like Family Guy slightly more.
