The South Park of today too often sacrifices the funny to preach to its audience. At one point I'd have said it was better than Family Guy, but now I think I'd have to take Family Guy instead.

I love how South Park tackles political and cultural issues though satire and humour. I find the problem with Family Guy, especially lately, is that it rely too much on random jokes, drawing out unfunny sketches, and has too many time fillers.

Family Guy, the show that thinks 3 minutes of Conway Twitty footage is funny material or South Park, the show that tackles social and political issues with biting satire most of the time? Hard choice...

South Park. It may be stupid, but Family Guy makes it look smart in comparison.

Family Guy relies too much on sex and fart jokes.

South Park. After 13 seasons it's still going strong. Though that Britney episode where she had no head, that made me feel very uncomfortable.

E-44 Fighter plane, can be mass produced. And is a cheaper equivalent of the F-16 at 30 million a piece in MS money.
E-67 Fighter Plane. The superior plane to the E-44. At 167 mill a piece in MS money.
Z-6 Bomber Plane. Can be slightly mass produced at 45 mill MS money. Better than the B-52 Stratofortress, but not as good as the B-2 Spirit.
M4 Carbine is the widely used weapon for “normal” infantry.
MP5-N and variants for Special ops mostly.
M1-A2 Tanks and M1 Tanks and LAC’s.
Weapons to advance when they advance higher in real life except for the planes. And these are just the ones mostly used.

To racist what?

How is racist a verb?

/serious, I always thought that they looked at racism in a more satirical manner, and usually tackled some good issues involved...

South Park by alot.

Faimly guy and south park are two different types of funny. South Park is really just an animated crap version of SNL.

South Park's humor is outrageous, sometimes in a sharp, satirical way, sometimes in a seventh-grade boy kind of way. I like the former...and actually the latter, too (usually).
Family Guy is often funny, but is too close to The Simpsons in style and humor, and not as good as that show.

I never thought of it that way, but that makes a lot of sense. I disagree with the "crap" part, I think many episodes of South Park are funnier than current SNL skits.

I'm not particularly fond of either show, but Family Guy is tolerable a majority of time--sorta as a filler show when I'm waiting for something worth watching to come on... Failing that, I'll watch Family Guy and then read for several hours. Whoo! Dream big.

South Park, I'll admit, has at times made me laugh until I choked. Those moments, however, are few and far between and in stark contrast to Family Guy, South Park is intolerable a majority of the time. Fucking toilet humor. Family Guy is just as guilty, I suppose.

Ya know what, Prime-Time T.V. is generally shit. There. Problem solved; Question answered.

South Park is by far better. Family Guy can be funny sometimes, but mostly it is just irritating. Where the main characters of South Park (with the exception of Cartman) are mostly intelligent and moral, Family Guy characters have little redeeming about them. Brian does a little, but it is mostly superficial political stuff that always comes out as whiny and it always has little to do with the story. A typical South Park episode ends with "You know, I learned something today..." while a typical Family Guy episode ends with the characters doing the same stupid thing that got them into the problem of the story (or lack of story). A bad South Park episode is better than a good Family Guy episode.

My problem with Family Guy is when it deviates from the story to make a joke that barely has anything to do with the story.

Of course, that annoying country singer Conway Twitty or whatever the fuck his name is, is not funny! How the fuck is that funny?

Seth MacFarlane did better with American Dad.

I like 'em both, but Family Guy has gotten stale, while South Park has retained it's awesomeness since I was in freakin' high school.

That said, my favorite animated show of late is Code Monkeys

Another Code Monkeys fan! I almost did not watch that show, but it is among my favourites. I considered boycotting the G4 channel, since I did not like what happened to a lot of the TechTV programmes I watched after the merger, but I do tune in for Code Monkeys.

Aye. It does get stale. I used to be a big Family Guy fan. Then I got tired of all the sex jokes, potty humor, and Brian's political preachiness. Brian's voice is the show's creator's actual voice, which made me dislike him, and the show, even more.

South Park may be stupid, but it's smart stupid. There's intelligence in its stupidity, order in its chaos. It may preach more than Brian, but they managed to make that make the show more appealing. Plus they don't keep rubbing your face in the preachiness.
