As an American, I would like the government to lower spending and do something about our national debt. I think our government needs to have a party that will lower our debt.

I actually don't know a single Republican who holds to that belief. I'd say a lot of Republicans I know are rather annoyed at Trump's antics, and liked it when Pence kept his cool. (Especially the whole fly thing at the VP debate ). But then again, being docile will get you trodden over in a presidential primary.
