In my ‘unbiased’ stance, I would like to point out that Russia did feel the need to defend themselves from NATO expansion.
How would America react with Mexico suddenly allowed Chinese troops to march near their borders? At best, probably the same way we reacted with the Bay of Pigs invasion, which failed miserably.

If true, it just further shows how poor the condition of Russia’s army is. Belgorod’s regional officials have reported 4 settlements have been partially or completely captured, an area larger than Bakhmut captured in 6 hours.

Russia has basically taken a field with destoryed and abonded structures. They got nothing of real value.

You are misunderstanding the concept: Russia is invading Russia because invading the Ukraine is too boring and they seek a real challenge for their wonderful and mighty military, which is at the height of its power and is equipped with weapons, which even the Americans would want. Key advantages of the Super-Duper Special Military Self-Tending Operation (SDSMSTO for short) include, but are not limited to, when Russia fights Russia, Russia can't loose but only win, the Russian Navy doesn't get involved, ergo doesn't loose any ships to storms in calm weather and, last but not least, when everyone knows how to drive the other one's tanks, everyone gets a tank!

Sorry no, peace isn't attainable until Putin stops insisting on keeping his ill-gotten gains.

Your position advocates for indefinite, endless war. Ill-gotten or not, the notion that Russia must give up everything(which they won’t) means this conflict will go on for years. Perhaps a decade or more. Hundreds of thousands will die. It’s as if mankind is addicted to war. As soon as one ends, people justify another, and another, and another. Our species is not well. I wish us to be more bonobo, less chimp, if you will. Peace must always be option, it is the most precious thing on the planet.
