If "it's the idea that causing harm" and that idea is being caused by speech, the speech caused the harm.
If you turned on an electric kettle and then the water boiled, it would not be wrong to say flicking the switch caused the water to boil, even though the electricity flowing through the heating elements technically caused it.

Fox News, like most news outlets, also has digital and streaming options so the way I see it, this is basically a symbolic middle finger and not much more. I don't think there's any reason to get worked up over it anyways, it's just a bunch of people getting upset over nothing, as most large outlets are.

From reading through this it seems that, in-between debates on modern fascism, some were just worried that it could be a potential slippery slope. Sure, you don't have to necessarily agree with anything any given news organization puts out, but at the same time the solution to inaccurate reporting isn't outright preventing the network from broadcasting. I'd say the solution here is to do what they actually care about: Hit them in their wallet. Fines go a long way when you're a private business. I'm not going to go as far as to call it censorship, nor defend Fox News' actions, but at the same time I'm not going to go about condoning the CRTC for considering banning it.

Most do care about what Fox News puts out and support it, and simply make a slippery slope argument. Very few people here are in the free speech absolutist camp.
