Just because segregation ended that doesn't mean that black people still doesn't face severe systemic discrimination. The same happens to LGBTQ+ people. Just because on paper they are equal* (* - in blue states) doesn't make the problem of discrimination, hate campaigns, lynching etc eradicated. Inability to acknowledge that LGBTQ+ people are still heavily oppressed (LGBTQ+ POC even more considering they also face racism) is dishonest and discriminatory.

So what? Social conservatism should not be allowed? Just because Orban's fanboy goes to Canada and throws a hate speech towards a gay person or black person doesn't mean it should be acceptable.
