'Palestinians' are an Arab people whose faux nationality dates back to 1920, upon the Mandate for Palestine's creation by the League of Nations. In 1947, due to popular demand, the Jewish people were given a homeland carved out of the Mandate of Palestine. The Arabs maintained half of Palestine, and lost territory after successive failed wars of aggression against Israel.
My solution is to unite all the Arab states as one nation- possibly a federation under a Hashemite emperor, and leave Israel (and Lebanon) as they are now.

I think the Jews wanted Jerusalem at all costs.
Though maybe you could just move their wailing wall to Montana or something.

actually, they were. The UN divided the mandate into two seperate territories, one Israel, the other Palestine. Palestine did not achieve their independence as Israel did because the arab nations (Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia plus a few others) invaded and occupied them. The Sanai and Gaza were given to Egypt, the Golan to Syria, and the West Bank to Jordan. All were used as staging grounds for further attacks on Israel, and were lost to israel in subsequent wars of aggression by the arab nations.

How is that related at all to what I said?

Because you obviously missed it the first time, he is saying both Palestine and Israel got some land from the UN, so your "short end of the stick" argument is being refuted.

Palestine existed. The UN took a big old chunk and gave it to the Jews naming it Israel. How did the Palestinians not get hosed in the exchange?

If anything the UK should be complaining.
