I've heard it said--and hold it to be true--that if you're at a rally, and there's a Nazi flag, and the person with the Nazi flag isn't getting thrown out, then you're at a Nazi rally.

And I only remember one of the Big Two US parties not throwing out people with Nazi flags.

They're right-wing populists, not national socialists.

I don’t know about Bolsonaro. They are defiantly not Hitler. I had a great-Aunt who was attached to the American Embassy back then. She was hot. She told a story of meeting him at a party. She said he had presence. He spoke and was interesting. Back then she would not have guessed he was capable of doing what he did. She did not admit to him flirting.

I am in no way anti-trans, but in almost every state of the Union, a minor cannot get a simple tattoo or piercing on their own. Major surgeries should be at least as challenging to obtain, in my opinion. Treatments that can be stopped, like blockers, are a totally different thing.

Is there any other kind of medical care that has access limited on the basis of age alone? Like, do American doctors refuse to perform appendectomies on anyone under the age of 18?

Nobody but the most gullible and naive of voters in their countries actually believe they’ve moderated. It’s just easier to justify voting for fascists to yourself if the fascists are coaxing you into it by pretending they’re any better than before.
