I mean that's what happens when it let neoliberals and Reaganites (and their funders) do as they want.
You'll inevitably make bedfellows with fascists and tyrants.

Why would supporting neoliberalism end up with people that don't support neoliberalism?

Why would supporting neoliberalism end up with people that don't support neoliberalism?

Because the billionaires holding neoliberalism's reins are fundamentally uninterested in freedom.

But electing people that don't believe in neoliberalism doesn't benefit them.

It does when djt gives them complete and perpetual tax exemption.

They could do that with any other candidate.

Other candidates have to answer questions about their corruption before media and congress.
Fascism notoriously does not have that "oversight" problem.

America gave tax exemption when Trump wasn't in office. It's not like congress cares and big media companies benefit from it.

America still has that system and people to some degree cares about corruption, or else we wouldn't be talking about it.
Djt's ideal "society" is Russia where he can build trillion dollar palaces (or spend more money on superyachts than the nation's actual navy) without the filthy commoners knowing or questioning.
Imagine if most of Pentagon's generals and admirals spent more money on yachts than DoD's entire budget, that simply cannot happen in a society where we are already heavily questioning Pentagon's spending.

But Trump wasn't able to install a system that resembles russia's one. Plus that would leave the rich at the mercy of the government unlike the current American system.

Yes he failed because djt's ultimate goals were unacceptable. Which is why he is in bed with Fascism because Fascism famously doesn't care about corruption.

So if you had a choice between him and the fast worker in the primary knowing everything I told you about him you still chose the fast food worker? Why?

What makes you think the fast food worker would have had any chance at beating the incumbent governor in 2018? Evers only won by about 30,000 votes.

He was very popular as Superintendent of Public Instruction (if your not aware its similar to Secretary of Education) and was the strongest candidate Democrats could have gotten.

If the vision of "democracy" we must stand by is really post-democracy where regular people face invisible obstacles whenever they try to run or effect policy, what is the point of protecting it from the GQP fascists?

Honestly, at least the Republicans admit their contempt for democracy.

The only one who said trump was going to be arrested was trump.
