Apparently they just collect union dues and fuck off.

So if you have a job and all you do is make dumb videos on social media you expect your union to prevent your boss from firing you and just say on that's ok keep making your dancing videos for your followers.

Very mad that people might be making silly little videos for fun. How dare they.

Don't be silly Iffy.

We should just abolish management altogether and reorganize the whole economy to run based on co-ops, worker's councils, and/or unions.

Gotta ban the Tik-toks and the Instagrams so the serfs have nothing to do but give the Democrats the votes they're so clearly entitled to. Because that is obviously how you get people to turn out and vote for you.

Let me share with you a bit of information from my work history. Whenever my job was awful, it wasn't because a coworker wasn't doing their job properly or just sucked. My jobs became awful when the shitty manager was running a shift. Them doing their job incompetently made my life hell. So yes, I'd much rather a coworker that just sat in the back doing TikTok videos than a manager that's awful. At the very least the former is staying out of my way.

If fellow workers don't like it they can quit too and make their stupid videos on someone else's dime.

Whose dime is it, Lumen? The workers are the people actually generating revenue, not the bosses.

If it weren't for the person whose name is on the building investing their time and effort in starting the business, the noble workers would not have a job in the first place.

This person worked there years ago. A union shouldn't make it impossible to fire someone.

That's one of the fucking points of a union. Otherwise, management can unjustly fire people for the smallest things.

Yet the owners only become rich through exploitation rather than investing in their workers.

When is it justifiable to fire someone? My co worker had people who literally weren't doing their job and it was nearly impossible to fire them because of the union rules.

How dare workers have their rights protected (sarcasm).
And if those rules were not in place, bosses could fire them when they want with no reason.

When I worked at a supermarket the elevator broke once. Storage was all upstairs thanks to the store being on a hill. Higher boss wanted us to take stuff down the stairs....Every last one of us refused. And our immediate bosses supported us. Since this is a grocery store that meant that people would not get more restock stuff meaning that some stuff was out. Wonder if Lumen would accept us calling the union if the boss had insisted (he didn't, figured out another way to get stuff down there. We actually used the lift that delivery vehicles use and brought stuff literally around outside the store).

What is the saying, people do quit bad companies, they quit bad managers. Something like that.

Top House Republicans are considering legislation to protect current and former presidents from politically motivated prosecutions. This is in response to Trump being investigated and may face an indictment from several of those investigations.

How do they determine if it is politically motivated.

Republicans tend to govern like they're going to be the last party to be elected.

Which is probably what they want.

Trump is a RINO because he does not follow Reagan, not because he isn't like those liberals.
