That entirely ignores the history of how these different groups entered the US, when they entered, and how they have been treated since their arrival.

African Americans in the US are the descendants of slaves while most European Americans arrived of their own will. This means that while Europeans immigrating to the US were generally able to choose where they settled, newly imported African slaves were not. European immigrants thus tended to live in locations that were prominently of their own national identity while African slaves national identity was effectively erased.

The importation of slaves to the US was banned in 1808, and a majority of African Americans can trace their ancestry to well before that, while the major immigration movement for non Anglo Europeans into the US was a century later during the 1900-1915 period. Combined with the fact that European immigrants, and their descendants, faced very different treatment by nationality while African Americans were universally treated with racism and suppression led to a very different cultural mixing.

You can somewhat speak of a national difference in African immigrants post 1965 when national quotas on immigration were repealed, but that is the minority of African Americans in the US.

Self reporting wouldn't necessarily be a good indicator here and 2nd generation could have one parent who was not an immigrant, in addition given how US immigration works, preferencing immigrants with family already in the US, immigrants aren't necessarily separated from US history and past racial dynamics. It is a good point that not all African Americans are descended from slaves, if you looked at the totality of my post you will not that isn't what I was saying. I specifically mention in the post immigration and how that has some different dynamics, I guess I could have been more clear in my language in the part you quoted. Which circles back to the main point, which is refuting the idiotic notion that European immigration is comparable to African immigration.

GMS: I see you don't give me any credit either, Italian Americans are of Italian and European descent from Europe, so Italian Euro Americans exist. and my Euro Americans in the Family. These terms are used in many ways not just one way, like African Americans and Asian Americans. I am a native Cuban of España La Madre Patria descent, who are Europeans, or Euros for a shorter term. Which makes me cringe because not all Europeans are white skinned and not all non Europeans are not white. There are many southern Europeans who are darker shaded, and there are people not only in the middle east but also across places like east Asia who are pretty close to literally white. Yes, technically there are Americans of European descent, but they're not a racial group. Even in the wacky world of racialism, few people think that everyone in Europe is one race and everyone outside Europe is another.

Paxton is now suspended from his job, Abbott will have to appoint an Acting AG until the Trial. It'll take 21 Senators(two-thirds of them, one of which is his wife) to convict him.

Great job ignoring basically everything I said and then doubling down on the ignorance of history and ethnicity. To repeat, European-American is not as valid as African-American because they two groups went through radically different means of arriving to the US, historical treatment in the US, and continuing treatment today. Your basic argument relies on making an implicit comparison between the two that ignores all of those shaping effects.
