Yeah, this is not a surprise at all, but it should strengthen the DOJ's case against Trump. One of the employees seems to be someone that just wanted to help, but the other, Walt Nauta, would had likely known what was in the those boxes.

I know some are complaining that the DOJ isn't moving fast enough, but the Special Counsel is being meticulous. They want to cover all their bases and have as much stick as possible. They got a strong case in my view: I would be shocked if they didn't bring up charges.

Maybe they were moving them to keep them from being damaged by the rising water table. I mean, Florida, you know, it rains a lot and they have the wettest hurricanes you've ever seen. I'm sure President Trump was just trying to protect his personally declassified documents from horrible mold and mildew. :)

North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum is expected to run for President. He's expected to announce on June 7th. Yeah, he has no shot either, but I suspect they're instead running in hopes would select them as their VP - the exceptions being Hutchinson or any anti-Trump candidates, perhaps DeSantis too, who I can't see being a VP at the moment.

I see the anti trump wing of the GOP has decided that instead of running one candidate against Donald and getting 5% of the total vote, they're gonna run a giant crowd of people and each individual will get like 100 votes each.

Indeed. Was it simply a coincidence or was it because somebody tipped them off. This kind of a raid is not public knowledge. They should investigate for possible leakage.

Though it’s yet another example which goes against claimed ignorance. If they were practicing hiding documents, they have to bring charges…..

Possibly, but Trump does want someone completely loyal and won't outshine him. Noem may fit that description, but he may want Marjorie Greene or Kari Lake. It would make sense for Trump to pick a woman, but the abortion issue is going to dog him - and people like DeSantis will probably force him to state his position. Democrats will wait for that.

So, to specify, this was when the subpoenaed was issued back in May of 2022. Thus, he would had knowledge of the DOJ coming and thus, time to move certain boxes he wanted to keep. That is critical to establish obstruction, which I think is clear and obvious. This wasn't related to the FBI Search Warrant on his property.

It's been several years in the making apparently, but I have the feeling that his calls for the House Speaker to be expelled may have been the last nerve.
