more precisely, qanon has sort of branched out and assimilated all of the other off-the-wall conspiracy theories and become the umbrella with which a lot of people who employ that kind of thinking identify. folding ideas made an interesting video about this a while ago.

I don’t think anyone with money makes enough money off of flat earth to justify lobbying. it would be pretty funny if the most paranoid conspiracy theory turned out to be funded by the ultrawealthy, though.
