I support moving the US capital to the nightmare corpse-city of R'lyeh, built in measureless eons behind history by the vast, loathsome shapes that seeped down from the dark stars; there will lie Congress and its hordes, hidden in green slimy vaults.

We have a few Options here.
1. Status Quo: If the Uniparty was allowed to build a new Capital city for scratch it would be a brutalist and modernist monstrosity.
2. Greater Maryland- Shrink DC so that the Federal Government controls the capital and the Citizens of Washington gain Congressional representation through Maryland. This plan would also involve revoking the Act that gave DC a non voting house seat.
3. New Capital- Design and build a classical new capital in the center of the Country.
Bonus. 5 new states- Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, Marshall Islands, Mariana Islands become States 51-55.

Actually, the best place would be El Paso county in Colorado. Highway 85 which goes from the US border with Mexico to Canada goes through El Paso County.
