You ever see the movie She's The Man? Teen romcom starring Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum, from before he was famous. Bynes' character, Viola, impersonates her twin brother Sebastian to attend a boy's school and get on their soccer team, and wacky hi-jinks ensue. Bynes has said in interviews that playing "Sebastian" was really hard, and that watching the movie and seeing herself as a boy sent her into months of depression. And it's not like she was on testosterone or anything, she just had a short haircut and thick eyebrows and fake sideburns and it freaked her out.

The moral of the story is that cis people can experience gender dysphoria and if any cisgender incel actually thinks that taking oestrogen will somehow improve his life then he will probably just cause himself a really fucking bad time.

Well actually we already do know what will happen given that genes can and do jump from one to another. Look at XX males for example which in certain cases are nearly distinguishable from XY males. It’s all do to the SRY gene transferring itself to a different gene and creating a dude.

1. More beautiful to have a feminine body.
2. Access to the trans/lesbian dating pool.
3. More intense stimulus from physical touch.
4. More intense and wider range of emotions and happier on Estrogen.
5. Being able to attract cisgender lesbians (if attractive enough).
6. Being able to attract cisgender men for physical intimacy (if attractive enough).
7. Softer skin and less/no acne.
8. Live longer.
9. Being able to maybe extract money/resources from men.
10. No longer driven to do stupid/dangerous things due to testosterone.
11. Stop and reverse hair loss.
12. People will treat you better if they believe you're a woman.
13. Less likely to get killed.
14. Access to female only spaces.
15. Cheaper car insurance.

16. Making $15k/year less than your male colleagues.

Is it worth that for them, or would they be better off just being gay bottoms?

Nah. Because you can already get XX males. The relevant genes can transpose to other chromosomes. Usually the X. If the Y chromosome were to disappear tomorrow, humanity would survive, and there would still be males. Albeit not many.

If we get to the point where the Y chromosome has deteriorated and is a liability to survival, there would be a strong selection pressure in favor of XX males. These genes would quickly spread throughout the population and become dominant. Very little would change, and without a modern understanding of genetics, it's unlikely that the population would even realize the shift had happened.

For all of the needless crap society gives to men, it gives more to women. On top of that, it's far worse for trans people, especially in the MtF direction. To hear some trans rights opponents say it, all trans women are pedophile rapists who cheat in sporting events in their free time.

On top of that, I highly doubt most men could actually handle being a woman. I'm a cis man, and I found playing a game in which I self-inserted to some extent the fact that my character was being referred to with feminine pronouns bugged me enough that I had to change things so masculine pronouns would be used to truly enjoy the game. Based on that experience I'm pretty sure having people use feminine pronouns on me IRL would slowly drive me insane. I don't think most of the rest of the world is much different, given how many people fail to see how others could possibly want to be a gender different from their birth one.

Although, the legally changing gender for cheaper insurance thing apparently happens, at least in Canada.
