Even if it was; the Abrams is a third generation tank from 40 years ago. That would not be impressive.

Not just unimpressive - it would be expected, just like I'd expect the Abrams from the 1980s to be better than a tank from the 1940s - 40 years prior.

And even that's not really accurate. the chassis was designed in the 1980s. The Abrams has gone through multiple renovation projects, and is still one of the, if not the most advanced tanks on the battlefield.

After seeing the Lazerpig's videos on the corrupt shit show that is Russian supply and logistics, I have a profoundly renewed respect for the Captain Sobels of the world that keep track of military hardware down the to the last box of gridsquares. The treaty takes effect when Turkey deposits their ratification at Washington DC, then Finland becomes an official member around a week later iirc.

Over the month of March Russia increased the area of land they control in Ukraine by approximately 70km².

Assuming Ukraine doesn't launch any counteroffensives, it would take Russia years just to capture the Donbas.

Lazerpig's video on the T-34 is pretty shockingly misinformed and contains a lot of double standards regarding wartime production so I tend to really not take him seriously about things. It's one of those things where someone seems very educated and then they make something on a topic you know a fair bit about and then you can never take them seriously again.

Russia's been putting all its trucks on hauling artillery shells from trains to their howitzers... to the absolute detriment of the infantry. This just means the frontline guys will be getting even less transports...
Wouldn't be surprised if they started getting mules instead of jeeps.
