Medvedev was forced to step down in 2020 after a spate of scandals culminating in Navalny’s corruption exposé as well as plans to create a legal framework for Putin to become an autocrat-for-life. The current PM, Mikhail Mishustin, has no power of his own and is an apolitical bureaucrat from Russia’s tax collection agency. He has some ties with the security establishment and would legally be considered Putin’s successor, but there’s no chance of him holding power for more than several days to a few months.

Yes, also Sweden along with some other Nordic nations are joining their Airforces together so Sweden will be a NATO member in all but name.

Also also Sweden is an EU nation and the EU charter actually has a common defense article that’s stronger than NATO article 5. So even if they where somehow attacked the EU and by extension most of NATO would be invading Russia

I think you might want to ask the Swedes first. Those two countries enjoy excellent international relations, but their cultures are significantly different. Sweden is Scandinavian. Finland is not.

Who is "we"? There is nothing wrong with most Russians. They are as much a victim of Putin as are the Ukrainians.

It’s the Muscovites who are the problem. Build a big, beautiful wall around the Kremlin and its castle town to free Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Or an ugly wall, or even a giant dome. The point is, a city shouldn’t be allowed to terrorize the largest landmass on Earth.

On a more serious note, it’s unfair to compare the majority of Russians’ acceptance of fascism to the existential threat Ukrainians are facing. Although Germany and Italy were clearly authoritarian regimes with failing democracies by the time fascism rose to power, the Germans and Italians who were neither fascists nor the enemies of fascism weren’t victims at all. They were thoughtless enablers of a danger they either did not know about or did not understand, and although those indirectly guilty of genocide and totalitarianism deserve the opportunity to be forgiven, suggesting an Aryan right-wing German and a Polish dissident or "asocial", for example, were equally harmed by and not responsible for Nazism is grossly offensive.
