Suffice to say Russia's space program will be delayed for a long while.

The likes of Heroic Bucha Kombucha, Azovstal radish varietal, and Heroes Don’t Die beer may have to leave the market as Ukraine’s legislators seek a ban
A group of Verkhovna Rada legislators has proposed a bill to ban war-themed commercial branding in Ukraine.
The deputies believe that companies have been exploiting patriotic and war-related themes for profit, often crassly and inappropriately. An explanatory note submitted with the draft legislation raises several concerns:It is vexing that, in their marketing communications, producers of consumer goods and services resort to inappropriate use of tragic war events, names of attacked cities, patriotic mottos, and war slogans. We’re talking about alcohol trademarks and branding of food products and other goods, promotions, and advertising banners that make careless and sometimes impermissible use of the war and the related themes.
The proposed bill, if passed, will prohibit the registration of trademarks making references to the following:
- War events
- The names of Ukrainian cities and regions that have suffered from the Russian aggression and became the symbols of Ukraine’s steadfastness and heroism
- Combat and military operations
- Military equipment and weapons
- Ukrainian military formations
- Official greetings in use by the Ukrainian military
Lawmakers have proposed similar restrictions for commercial ads, excluding commercials that promote books, films, and videos about the war.
Examples of improper and exploitative uses of the war include the “citrus-flavored” Heroic Bucha Kombucha (produced in Irpin) and the radish varietal Azovstal.

Damn, Kazakhstan ain't playing around with Russia. I believe Putin would have to invade Kazakhstan if the latter decides to seize the entire Baikonur Cosmodrome.

RIP Russian space program, then. Not that they've been doing much since the war started anyways. I wonder if NASA is prepared to take over servicing the ISS in place of the Soyuz and Progress missions.

At the same time the Russians have now switched to threatening the Swedes with invasion if they officially join NATO.

No I really haven't. When people put something in a signature like saying they're a tankie or support a putin-lover for president it's pretty obvious what they stand for. I'm going to call it as I see it.
And it's nothing really so dramatic as ifreann makes it out to be. They're some socialists whose feelings got hurt by me bonking them, and one of them went on an alt to try and get mods to smack me. I've had the joy of experiencing mod bias (like i'm sure other people can attest) so I was pretty certain and gloomy about seeing the red text. Good news is, I was wrong about the warning.

Aren't people going up there now in space Teslas? There seems like a lot of Space X launches. I mean not a lot a lot, but more than a few. There was one during the 12 Hours of Sebring, the broadcast took a moment to look at a little white bulb ascend into the night sky for a while then went back to the race.Thermodolia wrote:By this time next week it’s highly likely that NATO will have its first expansion in 3 years as Turkey is voting to ratify on Thursday and Erdogan is expected to sign by Monday.

Didn't they try this with Finland and that made Finland go, "Well fuck you, man, maybe we will join if you're giving us a reason to be in a mutual defense pact..."
I sort of lost track of that as well.
