"Outright scum will be punished", Budanov publicly admits to assassinating influential Russian propagandists.

This is as close to a confirmation of who was behind Tatarsky's and Dugina's assassinations as we can get, the SBU.
“We’ve already successfully targeted quite a few people. There have been well-publicised cases everyone knows about, thanks to the media coverage,” Major-General Kyrylo Budanov, 37, said when asked whether Ukrainian security services had killed Russian propagandists.

I'm only disappointed that they weren't trained on F-18s so that we could have Маверік and Айсмен flying them.

Something that came into my mind. Given how many calls for a "no fly zone" early in the war, I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been any call to deploy NATO troops (or something) in non-combat Ukrainian territory, as some sort of imprenetable anti-Russian repellant. E.g., a theoretical NATO troops deployment in northern Ukraine, thus freeing more Ukrainian troops to fight in the east and south. A more organized form of this would for a declaration of a "UN buffer zone" in northern Ukraine by the UN, like the current border between Israel and Syria.

Papua is free, and united... under a Rhodesia-style settler state dominated by Europeans, hell-bent on averting the threat of another Bosnia-style civil war. To keep Western support, they kept a democratic facade, hiding away the occasional disappearances, apartheid police brutality, exploitation of native and Chinese plantation workers, and wholesale environmental destruction.

This is just going to rapidly inflame tensions though. Like, what is NATO going to do in the next Russian missile strike on northern Ukraine and NATO soldiers are killed?

America supports international effort to train Ukrainian pilots on modern fighter jets

Probably the F-16, or the Mirage 2000, if the Americans do not want to cooperate.

Good thing modern fighter jets are good performance wise, because they are not very pretty. 8)

If only we still had the Tomcat so we had good looking fighter jets...

To be fair though the F-16 looks decent though.

Meh, I really dislike the bland, gray jets, so I am not a fan of the Tomcat, but who cares, they work.

Anyhow, I still think the Mirage is better for Ukraine, less complex avionics and mechanical maintenance wise.

Only France and Greece in Europe fly the Mirage though. Logistics will be easier for the F-16.

Significantly easier. I also appreciate the F-16s payload. Six air-to-surface missiles, may be useful. I'd imagine they'd get American missiles to, perhaps some strike missions. Idk how well they can use it for a SEAD mission though.

I do not see how, but I have 0% knowledge in that area, I just want to get jets t5o Ukraine BEFORE Nixon becomes president of Earth.

Simple really. Belgium, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal all fly F-16s. Norway retired them in 2022 so may have airframes and spare parts sitting around.

And the US has been the biggest supporter of Ukraine so far. Lots of parts available from them.

There are far more F-16s in the world than Mirage 2000s. So many more spare parts and many more nations able to supply them.

The US supplied HARMs to Ukraine last summer. With the avionics on an F-16 they will be far more effective than the fire and forget at any radar that they are able to do from a MIG 29.

The F-16 can differentiate between radars and even use AWACS support to pick targets.

Ok, that makes sense, but most of those countries still use them, so I am worried training the ground crews and pilots will take YEARS.

I would suggest a stop gap measure, and donate a large number of MiG-29,s eastern European countries still have, more than they already do that is.

NATO, the most powerful crime syndicate in the world, is now trying to prepare itself for a war against Russia when they can't even support their Ukrainian "allies" with ammunition properly. Moreover, the already struggling European economies must now suffer even more preparing for a war that is very likely not even gonna happen.

Poland and Slovakia I believe, maybe Germany.
