The Russian Air Force, if it’s not a paper tiger, is still mostly intact, and that would be the most dangers part about it.
So there is still threat to the wider world, for instance if world war three broke out and China Russia Iran were the axis, Russia would still bring considerable value to that.

I wouldn't call their air force a paper tiger but it's clearly not world class either. Obviously any nation is going to struggle to match the US in terms of airpower, but even still their air force has not been terribly effective or even present in this war a lot of the time.

That may be precisely because they are saving it for a larger fight.

The Ukrainian heros fighting for their country and their freedom are absolute heros, and the Russians who see the futility of this war and are putting in a half-arsed effort because of it are bloody legends. If more people refused to fight for despots, the world would be a better place

China, Russia and Iran would only begrungingly be allies and it would be a pretty weak alliance. But still terrifying nonetheless. I don't think Russia will be starting a world war any time soon. Considering that they haven't taken Kyiv, I doubt we'll see Russian tanks down the streets of Paris or London or Athens any time soon

I'm rather skeptical, because Ukrainian AD systems are basically forcing the VKS to launch missiles from Russian airspace. If Buks and S-300s are making them avoid Ukraine at a wide berth like that then they might not fare well against fleets of NATO aircrafts.

Also where my mind is at. If they're this scared to dance with aging Soviet systems, how are they going to act when F-22s and F-35s are prowling about?

I figured it could take up resources that would otherwise be used against China but yeah it’s kind of a stretch.
I can’t think of a use other than that besides simply waiting out Ukrainian air defenses.

Prigozhin says that he was promised to receive “all needed ammunition”

As expected, Wagner probably won't withdraw from Bakhmut anytime soon.

Apart from the main aggressor which is Russia in the European continent the main threat to the wider world is the US and their eurocentric cronies shoving their dicks in where it's not wanted and raping smaller nations into being puppets under their enforced sphere of influence.
Russia's an idiot. So is the US, and quite a few of the western sphere. Population education and literacy is your issue, not the politics of foreign nations.

Maybe, it was either a ploy, meant to lul the defenders into a fall sense of security.

Or it was real, and the leadership of Wagner is trying to seize more political prestige and influence but ''getting their way'' with the defense ministry.

Neither is good, though I have no doubt it will prove to be futile in the big picture.

Nah, their tactical aviation is also depleted because they kept sending planes and helicopters to airfields within artillery range and just left them there for months.

The only thing left is their strategic and maritime aviation, even their air-transport got shot to pieces during Hostomel.

Meaning they have bombers, but no escorts, and a limited stockpile of air-launched cruise-missiles. Meaning the limit of the bulk of their ability is just carpet-bombing ISIS or launching cruise-missiles from across two national borders away (and from there, to either cannibalize their nuclear deterrence, or to go with the nuclear option).

The Russian government probably prefers the StrafBats to be shoved into the meatgrinder than its more regular forces, which it probably assumes it'll need in case of an Ukrainian counteroffensive.

However, I have memories that the Russian side SENT UKRAINIAN GUN AIMERS (or what do they call in English those who give coordinates for the bombing?) TO THE LAND CONTROLLED BY KIEV. This is what SS-level terror looks like, I guess.
