You don't necessarily need warp drive to get from Earth's surface into its gravitational field (outside of the atmosphere). All you need is a few high-powered rockets, and a lot of fuel. Sure, technology that we don't have would be necessary to explore the universe, but to get to the Moon, or to send a satellite into orbit? Hardly.
