Why shouldn't that be converted nationally?
You have not answered my question.
What do you think should be done for municipal and state inaugurations? Do you agree with the statement if should consist solely of being sworn in privately with no pomp and circumstance, its not televised and the public and honored guests are not invited?
I have answered your question, that I see no reason why local-level stuff should not be treated the same way I described how I think national-level stuff should be treated, the only difference is that local-level stuff would be reported locally.
The way I described national level stuff is that the new Congress is sworn in for the first day, that is it, no pomp no speeches, the only thing that happens is they are sworn in. This is broadcast the same way all things are broadcast because every day Congress is in session is already broadcast. The public can watch the same way every other day of Congress is watched.
So if you were elected mayor or governor your inauguration would consist solely of taking the oath in the Capitol with no invited guests and the public can't be there for it and that is what gets broadcast?
