This got lost in the congressional shuffle, but there was a terror attack in Vegas.

MGM's Mega Array, the solar farm used to power all of their Vegas-area properties, was completely disabled by a man who set fire to a transformer pit. The array will need at least two years to go fully online again.

This is now three attack on power plants or substations? I hope we do not see more. This is something local governments need to start looking into and increase security around them.

You know, I wish Collin Peterson would run for president. I doubt he has any interest, but I would 100% vote for him over Trump, or most republicans for that matter. And that means something coming from a republican.

American political jargon is very poorly designed. "Congress" refer to both houses of the legislature but "Congressman" is only the men in the House and not the Senate.

Gonna write a letter to the 18th Century, tell them to sort their shit out.

i am so tired of this term corporate shrill just as much as establishment. They have both become blanket terms for anyone in office and anyone people don't like.

Remember the democrats in the 20th century When affirmative actions didn't go nearly as far, and those stimulus bill recently done weren't nearly as common or extreme? The democrats were generally better than the republicans (in my opinion of course). He started his political career in 1976, and his policies (which were moderate even then) stayed pretty consistent. That isn’t the worst idea in the world. Think about it, if the republicans had run anyone else but Trump, Hillary would have easily won. So they sold their soul and gave him the nomination. Desantis while popular, isn’t Trump. Kamala is universally hated and can’t win the oval. If Trump decides to run as a third party, convincing Michelle to run may be just the bold idea to beat Desantis.
Sarcasm dispensed moderately.

Your also forgetting times have changed. political coalitions have shifted. In 1976 many rural areas still voted Republican. Carter also won many southern states.

My point is, if he were interested in running, and he somehow won the primaries, he would attract a lot of voters. As I said, I'd vote for him over most (but not all) republicans, and since I am a republican that ceartainly has to mean something.

Yeah, but since this is an American thread, I assumed it was obvious that "centrist" was refering to being right in between both parties. Really by todays standards I'd argue that he's really more of a republican than Susan Collins, but oh well.
