The Republican clown show continues. McCarthy can't even count the house. Who in his caucus will tell him it's over? OTOH I wouldn't be at all surprised if this entire shitshow including the "altercation" hadn't been planned in advance to take the wind out of the sails of the second anniversary of the violent armed insurrection. One, count 'em one, Republican showed up at the commemoration this morning. Make no mistake, the MAGA fascists will pursue political power by any means up to and including violence.

Talkie FaceWoman talking about talking to McCarthy after having asked if this was going it be it (before the vote):"I have the votes" "How do you know?" "Because I can count" Well, apparently you can't.

She later goes on to point out that he was the whip, he should know how to count the votes. Not sure who this woman is but she did talk earlier about leaving the Republicans because of shit like this.

I think Gaetz was supposed to vote for McCarthy while Boubert was supposed to vote present which would have lowered the threshold while allowing him to win.

Well, Gaetz did come up to and talked to him. And that's when he changed his vote to "no". I suspect he'll have it now.
