If the progressive base shows up this time it will be fo Williamson. Now, will they show up? Given the state of the left it's honestly unlikely. But I might as well remain optimistic so as to avoid creating a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Just because she represents a position left of Biden does not mean she can beat him. I’m probably left of Biden and would not win if I ran in the DNC primary.

She also needs to get on the ballot and there needs to be some amount of grassroots organizing, yes. Neither of which are guaranteed to happen, but they aren't impossible either.

I can definitely see the need for reform, this stuff is ridiculous, but I am very much happy with the family's own insurance.

I'm glad that you can afford what you're paying now. It's still higher than it needs to be because of the profit motive. Remember that tens of thousands of people each year can't afford what you can and die as a result.

If you look at Europe, you'd get a better understanding on how single payer would actually be better than even the best insurance here.
