I could have sworn that they would have fired him, but I guess they allowed him to resign with some dignity. Reportedly, Lamar Jackson will have input on who the new OC will be.

When you gotta move on ya gotta move on. GRo has a $3.5 mil contract through next season so he's good. As for LJ's input concerning the next OC hire, that could be a smoke screen to protect the value of the team's merchandise... or not.

Lamar is gone. I don't think he's playing another down for the Ravens.

An excellent week: I went 5-1. Easily my best picking during the Playoffs. I have never done better than 8-5 in the Playoff/Super Bowl stretch. The Cowboys game was tough to pick, but how couldn't you not bet against Brady? Bois, congrats: you now get to face a real team. May God have mercy on your souls when you go to San Fran. As for this Bills game, it was not easy, but I made my choice:

49ers over Seahawks
Jaguars over Chargers
Bills over Dolphins
Giants over Vikings
Bengals over Ravens

Buccaneers over Cowboys

Chiefs over Jaguars
Eagles over Giants
Bengals over Bills
49ers over Cowboys

I mean, I wouldn't call that cheating per-se. Plucky Chucky just knew the Raiders playbook on account of, you know, coaching them like a couple years prior. Not cheating that they were too dumb to change it up.

There's also the conspiracy theory that Bill Callahan intentionally threw the Super Bowl because of his relationship with Chucky and his conflicts with Raiders management.

Given Callahan's outstanding incompetence as a head coach after that one season (he has never coached a winning NFL team since, and gave up 70 points in a single game to the freaking Kansas Jayhawks during his tenure at Nebraska) I'm more inclined to believe he's just a terrible coach.

Thats what I have read too. Which is why the notion of him picking the OC is amusing

Nothing more than a Kabuki Dance. We might start discussing who gets him. They'll need cap space and draft capital. I'd start with these three possibilities Jets, Falcons & Panthers.

QB Lamar Jackson will be available for trade, minimum bid is two #1 NFL draft picks+

I dont want him for the jets. I am a heretic, I want Brady, I want Wilson to play behind him and brady teach him how to be a NFL quarterback.

I'd prefer him in the NFC if he can't strike a team friendly deal with the Ravens (who traded up and drafted him after 31 other teams passed on him in 2018).

Lamar might prefer playing for NYC in the Jersey Meadowlands. He'd get plenty of attention there. But it would be cold.

EDIT: I'd personally love to see Tom Brady in a Jets uniform as starting QB next season. And the first MNF game of the season would absolutely have to be NY Jets at New England Patriots.

I dont know what was more suprising me going perfect last week or Skylar Thompson almost beating my team. Anyway, Divisional time!

Chiefs over Jaguars
Eagles over Giants
Bills over Bengals
Cowboys over 49ers

I am feeling the AFC will go back to Chiefs Bills bc why not (even though I fear Cincy more than KC), but the NFC will have at least one upset. I went with the Cowboys because veteran team and coach, and think people underrate the Eagles just because the team that had the longest winning streak in the regular season and over the last few years has been kinda secretly bad. I think the Eagles are a lot better than the 2020 Steelers or 2021 Cardinals, is what I am saying, but people hate on them like they are those teams.

Well i was one of the biggest fans until this last off-season began in 2021. Now, I can say I've seen every down of his pro career including preseason and postseason. I have heard him speak and read his social media. Lamar has re-written the NFL record book for running QBs (yay) but has only gained 1 playoff win in five years and 1 division title. He comes off after all of this as a little too selfish to be the team player economically the Ravens want at QB.

Joe Flacco's 5 year $120 million contract (at the same point in his career) held the team back but Joe did come though in crunch time to earn that payday. Then he suffered a severe ACL and PCL knee injury in 2015 vs Jeff Fisher's Rams. Joe never missed a game until that happened. Meanwhile Lamar has proved he's not as durable as Joe thus far and that's unfortunate and does not bode well for the future.

I feel certain teammates of Lamar would argue i am wrong, while others would remain silent and those who fully agree would nod their heads. I get the distinct feeling Harbaugh has had it with him. But the man who decides the matters is Baltimore Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti (who was born in Philly but soon was moved to Maryland where he was raised and educated).

That was an awkward way to bend Mahomes' leg. Surprised they didn't sub him out to be looked at before the quarter ended.

Chad Henne is doing a decent job so far. Andy Reid has to steer with one hand but he’s giving it a go. We’ll see what happens. Feel bad for Mahomes though.
