Giants starting their backups against an eagles team desperate for a win to get the first seed: lose 22-18
Giants with their starters in the playoffs: lose to eagles 38-7

What a slog of a football game. From fighting mad against Minnesota to laying down and dying. Do someone ever check the Giants’ offensive coordinator to see what happened to him after the last game?

The explanation is actually pretty simple. They went from playing the 32nd ranked pass defense to the 1st ranked pass defense. These things tend to happen under those circumstances.

The NY Giants were 4-13 last season. They overachieved this season until last night when the Eagles turned the lights out on them. Pretty ugly game.

QB Lamar Jackson will be available for trade, minimum bid is two #1 NFL draft picks+

Weirdly enough during the game, no one mentioned this.

Again to many teams in the playoffs that have no business being there.

To be completely honest - the Jags game was more entertaining than the Eagles. I expected it to be much closer and while I'll take the win, I would have liked to see a better game. Now we must prepare for the 49ers. Yes, I'm that confident that Dallas will lose.

But give credit to the Jags: despite blowing some plays, they played well and beyond our expectation. I think they will be a threat next season though they have a ways to go still.

I mean, like others (and like I have said before) I expected a much more entertaining game. Though, as an Eagles fan, I'm okay with a 38-7 blow out or a 7-6 win. A win is a win is a win.

The playoffs need to be realigned somehow so that the teams with the best records get in. Just because you win your division doesn't mean you belong in the playoffs, IMHO *peers at Tampa Bay*

Dougie P is a good coach. Not sure what happened his last year in Philly. I feel that other things/people may have been the problem and he got blamed for it, ultimately. He'll get Jacksonville doing good things. Remember, he won his SB with Philly in his 2nd year with the team.

Yeah, the media doesn't really seem to care about the Vikings defense. I saw it a bunch of times this year. People were praising the Bears, the Pats, the Giants, etc, for suddenly looking good offensively against us. It would have been more nuanced if they focused more on our moribund defense, but good analysis is often forsaken in the name of narratives.

When it was the 3 division winners and top two in the conference I liked it better. But can't pay qbs 39 million when you shorten the number of games

If this season has taught me anything, they'll probably figure it out around the 3rd quarter and manage to come back into it.
