Even if you are going to be in a situation of a prolonged stay in one location you aren't going to see any real benefits from obesity. Human's just don't have the capability to hibernate like bears...

You don't need to hibernate to store energy in fat.

You mean utilize energy. That being said, it still requires carbohydrates to effectively break down stored lipids for energy purposes.

Humans just aren't designed for using fat in such a fashion or all an obese person would have to do is refrain from eating to return to their healthy weight, its just not possible.

You're in a plane. It is due in a different country in 2 days, so only after 3 days would rescue efforts be attempted. The plane crashes near a small forest that has a small stream going through it. You can take anything from the plane, but only by yourself. Everyone else is dead.

What do you do?

For example, you are in a plane crash and get stuck in the middle of a mountain range with no people around for at least 100 miles? What do you do?
